World boxing’s Middleweight King Sergio Martinez has his eyes set on a match with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., according to his statements at The Boxing lab, the official audio show of the BoxingScene.com. It has been revealed that an agreement is already in place for the winner of the match between Chavez Jr. and Andy Lee to face off against the Argentine pride but Martinez wants Chavez and not Lee and will be rooting for him when the match takes place on the 16^th of June.

Martinez has been on the trail of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for many years and although he is favored to beat Andy Lee, Martinez is still skeptical whether the match will indeed happen even if Chavez Jr. wins his bout. There was a tone of skepticism in Sergio Martinez when he said that he would not believe that he will be fighting Chavez Jr. until he sees him in the ring, in his boxing attire and he hears the sound of the bell. He went on to add that he had sent many contracts to his promoter, having already signed his name but he didn’t know if the promoter didn’t give him the contract or if he didn’t want to fight him.

Asked whether he would fight Pound for Pound King Floyd Mayweather Jr. Martinez asserted that at the moment, he is concentrating on Chavez Jr. completely. But he also added that at the Moment, Mayweather is the toughest opponent out there in the Middleweight class and if he really wanted to test himself, there was no better opponent than Floyd Mayweather Jr.

But Sergio Martinez did not want to be drawn into discussions about potential fights and he is mainly thinking about the fights in hand and if Chavez Jr. does fight him, it’ll be nothing short of a spectacle.

Sergio Martinez is well known for his incredible capability inside the boxing ring. Other than his great boxing talents, he is also very good human being. The media has never shown the other side of this particular boxer. He keeps himself busy in various social activities and also helps various charitable organizations in order to raise funds for good cause.

Sergio Martinez says that every person must do certain social work then only this world could be kept free from various problems. A particular individual can help another in various ways.
